GOD is an impersonal abstraction devoid of form and attributes.  To comprehend HIM with our limited senses and propitiate HIM in our own way, a Temple is built at HIS VIRAT or COSMIC BODY and a form is given to HIM, which human eyes could behold and minds could concentrate upon.

Sree Uttara Swami Malai popularly known, as Malai Mandir comprises the temples of Sree Swaminatha Swami, Sree Karpaga Vinayakar, Sree Sundareswarar and Devi Meenakshi, situated atop and at the foot of a small hillock overlooking Ramakrishnapuram and Vasant Vihar in South West Delhi. The architecture of these temples are reminiscent of  the glory and grandeur of South Indian Temple Architecture from the Chola, Pallavan and Pandiyan era. It is indeed a land-mark on the south west ridge of N.C.T. Of  Delhi, attracting thousands of devotees from India and abroad all round the year.

Religious functions and events are conducted on day to day basis. Special occasions like Karthikai, New Year etc are also celebrated with fervour.
